OUR MISSION Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian and bisexual persons, their families and friends through:
PFLAG provides an opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity. If you are looking for a safe place to laugh, cry, question, or celebrate; to have frank discussions with gays and lesbians and their allies; to learn more about the effects of homophobia in our society; and to advocate for a more just society, our chapter is the place for you. MEETINGS The Carmel chapter meetings are held from 7 to 9 pm on the second Monday of each month at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 490 Aguajito Road, Carmel (at the junction of Route 68 and Highway 1). The Salinas chapter meetings are held the second Thursday of each month, 7 to 9 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church, 404 Lincoln Avenue. We have general discussion, announcements, and programs (videos, speakers, etc.) from 7 to 8 pm, and support groups from 8 to 9 pm. There are also group meetings on advocacy issues at our chapter meetings. CHAPTER MEETINGS Everyone is welcome at our PFLAG meetings and there is no fee. For more information, call (831) 655-3524
