All in the Family:
All in the Family is CSU Monterey Bay's LGBTA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Alliance). This organization is open to people of all personal identities: questioning, gay, straight, queer and/or label-free. Their purpose is to inform the community of issues that effect Queer people and the Queer community. It also provides a place where people can meet on common ground and discuss issues of sexuality and sexual orientation in an open, trusting, confidential manner. They speak on panels, do fund-raisers, and have participated in events such as Fresno's Outfest, UCSC's Exposed!Conference, Youth Lobby Day in Sacramento, and the San Francisco AIDS Dance-a-thon. Fred Jealous Breakthrough Workshop
Fred conducts Breakthrough Workshops for Men. It is an interactive educational workshop for all men who want to reclaim a fuller sense of who they are in relationship to themselves, others and their dreams. Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation:
GLAAD is a national organization that promotes fair, accurate, and inclusive media representation as a means of challanging discrimination based on sexual orientation or identity. Its projects include a TV Scoreboard, a Bisexual Visibility Project, and seminars on Sexual Orientation in the Workplace. Gay and Lesbian Coalition International:
GLPCI is a resource for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender parents, their partners and children, and supporters of their families. They provide advocacy, education, and support. GLSEN is the largest national organization that brings together teachers, parents, students and concerned citizens to work together to end homophobia in the schools. Gay Teen Alliance:
GTA is a program within the Monterey County AIDS Project. It provides a safe, supportive environment for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and questioning youth ages 14 to 25. GTA provides activities and discussion groups and may be phoned at 772-8202 or 393-3457. There is a 24-hour information line in Monterey at 393-3457. The Lesbian Alliance:
L.A. of the Monterey Peninsula was formed to promote a visible and social lesbian community which is supportive, empowering, encouraging action, freedom of expression and connection for women in Monterey County. It is now in its 10th year and its programs include fundraisers, a Battered Women's Shelter and in planning stages are book scholarships to the local colleges. Man-to-Man Program:
M2M is a program of the Monterey County AIDS Project. It implements a multifaceted approach to increase knowledge of HIV, build negotiation skills, increase community and individual self-esteem and empowerment, and provide support for the reduction of HIV transmission among men who have sex with men in Monterey County. Monterey County AIDS Project:

The National Coalition Building Institute:
NCBI is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to the development of leaders who value diversity, take principled stands, and initiate intergroup cooperation. NCBI trains leaders in the skills of prejudice reduction, intergroup conflict resolution, and building community. Scouting For All:
Scouting For All is a grassroots effort to place pressure on the Boy Scouts of America to rescind its discriminatory policy of excluding gay youth and adults from scouting. It has a 3-part program: 1) a Scouting For All petition 2) a campaign to send letters to the BSA asking that it rescind its discriminatory policy and 3) a campaign to send letters to your local United Way Chapter and a copy to the United Way of America asking if they require funded agencies to abide by a policy of nondiscrimination which includes sexual orientation.
